Hyperthermia is an increase in the body's core temperature caused by its inability to dissipate heat or reduce its production. The problem is serious and leads to the death of several people every year. One of its causes is exposure to excessive heat. On very hot days, for example, we must be careful to avoid the occurrence of the problem, drinking plenty of water and avoiding outdoor physical activities. This manuscript aims to evaluate the characteristics of hyperthermia in human health and its therapy. Data were collected using a quantitative and descriptive approach, through books and the following databases: SciVerse Scopus, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and the Academic Search Tool (Scholar Google) Academia.edu., Researchgate, Library of Medicine and National Institute of Health – USA (PubMed) and Scientific, Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS). The search was developed using the subject descriptor, mosquito, diseases, filaria, hosts, transmission, diagnosis, and treatment referred to in journals, through a review of the literature on the subject. In the initial search, the titles and abstracts of the articles were considered for a broad selection of likely works of interest, with the abstracts being highlighted. The time frame was between 1999 and 2024, as we preferred to search for recent publications, and those that did not meet the established criteria were excluded. The search was conducted using the subject descriptors: “Cardiac system”, “Nervous system”, “Energy”, “Hydration, metabolism”, “Risk factors”, “Temperature,” “Thermoregulatory mechanism, “El Niño” and “Climate change”.

Recent evidence has suggested that the intestinal microbiota is involved in energy regulation and the inflammatory process, an environmental factor related to the pathophysiology of obesity. The microbiota contains a variety of living microorganisms that colonize the intestine, and its development occurs throughout the life cycle from birth to adulthood. Collagen is one of these ingredients with functional characteristics. It is a protein of animal origin, whose function in the body is to contribute to the structural integrity of the tissues in which it is present. However, with the onset of adulthood, collagen deficiency begins to be noticed, as the body reduces its production, making its supplementation necessary. This review aims to study fatty bacteria in the intestine and collagen bacteria. Data were collected using a quantitative and descriptive approach, through books and the following databases: SciVerse Scopus, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), the Academic Search Tool (Scholar Google), Academia.edu., Researchgate, Library of Medicine and National Institute of Health (USA), (PubMed) and Scientific, Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS). The search was developed using the subject descriptor, mosquito, diseases, filaria, hosts, transmission, diagnosis, and treatment referred to in periodicals, through a literature review. In the initial search, the titles and abstracts of the articles were considered for the broad selection of likely works of interest, with the abstracts being highlighted.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.36348/merjms.2025.v05i01.004
In the present study, we reported the densities and excess molar volumes and (V_m^E) excess acoustical impedance (ZE) for the pure organic solvent mixtures such as 1,3-Dioxolane + Pentanol, 1,3-Dioxolane + Hexanol, 1,3-Dioxolane + Heptanol, 1,3-Dioxolane + Octanol, 1,3-Dioxolane + Nonanol and 1,3-Dioxolane + Decanol at 298.15K. Excess molar volumes (V_m^E) excess acousticimpedance (ZE) for these binary mixtures were calculated from the experimental density and sound velocity data and fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation to check the accuracy of experimental data. In addition, the interactions between the unlike molecules in the mixtures were confirmed by using the experimental results. It has been observed that, weak dispersive type intermolecular interactions are confirmed in the systems investigated. Dipole inducement is found to be more predominant in the system. The results are interpreted in terms of molecular interaction between the components of the mixture.

It is essential to many people's lives, providing meaning, connection, and balance. Likewise, nutrition plays a fundamental role in the health and well-being of the body. When these two aspects are combined consciously and intentionally, holistic wholeness and vitality can be achieved. Mindful eating involves choosing healthy foods, being present when eating, connecting with where your food comes from, and enjoying each meal. This simple act can become a spiritual practice, nourishing not only the body but also the soul. Some foods have traditionally been associated with spiritual and emotional benefits. For example, fresh, whole foods rich in nutrients can increase vitality and mental clarity, promoting elevated states of consciousness. The objective of this paper is to verify the relationship between spirituality and nutritional and hormonal processes. The methodology used an integrative literature review and a synthesis process to develop the study to expand the understanding of knowledge and achieve the expected results. Regarding the inclusion criteria, national and international articles were used in full, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The exclusion criteria were articles that were presented in duplicate and that did not meet the objectives of the investigation. In this way, the reviewer/researcher can prepare an integrative review with different purposes, which can be directed towards defining concepts, reviewing theories, or methodological analysis of included studies of a particular topic. In its construction process, it is necessary to go through six distinct stages, which are: identification of the theme and selection of the hypothesis or research question; establishment of criteria for inclusion and exclusion of studies/sampling or literature search; definition information to be extracted from selected studies/categorization of studies; evaluation of included studies; interpretation of results; and presentation of knowledge review/synthesis. To carry out the study, a search for scientific articles was carried out through Virtual Health Library, in SCIELO, LILACS, and Pubmed databases.

Radiation protection (RP) is crucial for safeguarding healthcare professionals in radiation circumstances. This survey aimed to evaluate RP adherence and the availability of support services among healthcare professionals working in Palestinian hospitals, distinguishing gaps and domains for improvement. A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted in six Palestinian hospitals, comprising (112) healthcare workers from diverse departments. A well-designed questionnaire assessed adherence to RP practices, availability of support services, and demographic characteristics. Data were analyzed using XLSTAT 2021, employing ANOVA and descriptive statistics. The results present that the response rate was (84.8%), overall adherence to RP guidelines was (75.6%), and with high level, usage of lead aprons (92%) and dosimeters (88.4%), but weak adherence to lead goggle usage (34.8%). However (95.5%) expressed willingness to attend radiation risk training, only (52.9%) reported enough RP support services, highlighting gaps in institutional resources and training. Occupation, gender, and department significantly affected levels of adherence, with males and radiologic technologists showing higher compliance (p< 0.05). Healthcare workers in Palestinian hospitals exhibit good adherence to RP guidelines, but significant gaps in training and support services persist. Addressing these shortages through boosting institutional support, implementing regular training programs. In addition to developing comprehensive RP policies and regulatory framework is critical to improving RP practices and ensure healthcare worker safety.

Background: The gold standard in the treatment of symptomatic gallstones is laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is one of the most regularly performed surgical operations globally. Ultrasonography is the most common noninvasive, safe, and highly accurate screening test for cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. It can also help surgeons to get an idea of potential difficulty to be faced during surgery in that particular patient. Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the role of USG of abdomen to detect the conditions of gall bladder in preoperative diagnosis and their per-operative comparison. Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted over a period of one and half year from January 2023 to June 2024. A total of 82 patients were included in this study. All Gall stones were diagnosed clinically and radiologically then compared with peroperative difficulties during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Data were collected from these patients by a preformed questionnaire and finally the data were analyzed by SPSS 29. Results: Most of the patients were female 54 (65.85%). Among them 35(42.68%) cases were present in 41-50 years of age group. Clinically >3 times attack were 58(70.73%). USG of whole abdomen revealed ≥4 mm wall thickness of gall bladder 39(47.56%), contracted gall bladder 41(50%), multiple stones were 61(74.39%) and impacted stones were 11(13.41%). In difficult gall bladder dissection time were > 1 hour 50(60.98%) and conversion to open needed 9(10.98%). Conclusion: The preoperative identification of cases of difficult laparoscopic cholecystectomy is an important advantage not only for the surgeon who has to perform the surgery, but also for the organization of the operating room and technical resources.
